Digital Diary Entry: Glow Aesthetics by Kate - Girls Weekend Away

Hello Glow family!

I just got back from the most amazing weekend away with my school friends—can you believe it’s been 20 years since we graduated?! Time really does fly. We headed to Sorrento and Alba Springs, and it was the perfect getaway. A weekend of laughter, relaxation, and some much-needed quality time together.

Reconnecting & Reflecting

For most of us, life’s been a whirlwind. Between kids, work, and just the general chaos that comes with adulting, it’s been way too long since we’ve had a chance to just be us—the six of us from school who’ve seen each other grow, change, and evolve over the years. We don’t get this kind of time together often, so it was extra special.

We talked about everything—catching up on kids, work, and of course, life’s little challenges. But most importantly, we laughed like we were back in school, without a care in the world. It was the perfect reminder of how important it is to prioritize connection with the people who matter.

Self-Care Beyond Skin

While it’s always a good time to unwind, I also got thinking about how important self-care is, not just for our bodies and skin, but for our souls too. Taking time for yourself, spending time with the people who truly uplift you, and just letting go of the daily grind—it’s so rejuvenating, right?

As much as I love my work and what I do at Glow Aesthetics, I’ve realized how vital it is to recharge and give yourself permission to pause. The weekend was exactly what I needed, and I came back feeling refreshed and inspired to continue bringing my best energy to you all.

The Power of Friendship

We’ve all changed so much over the years, but the bond we share remains strong. Our friendship reminds me that no matter how much life evolves, it’s the relationships that we nurture—whether it’s with our family, friends, or even ourselves—that truly matter.

So, if you’re feeling like you need some time away with friends or just a moment to breathe—do it. Your mental and emotional well-being are just as important as your physical health. Whether it’s a weekend trip or an afternoon at a café, make the time for what fills your soul.

Looking Forward

I’m back now, feeling recharged and ready to get back to the clinic, but I’m also feeling so grateful for the time away and the friends who’ve been with me through so many chapters of life. And just like I always encourage you to take care of your skin, I’m reminded that taking care of your mind and spirit is just as important.

With love and a bit of extra glow from a much-needed weekend away,
Kate

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too, whether it was spent with family, friends, or taking some time for yourself. If you’re ready to take care of that inner glow, I’m here for you!
