Do I need to follow aftercare instructions after treatment?
Yes, following aftercare instructions after a cosmetic treatment is very important for ensuring the best results, minimising the risk of complications, and promoting proper healing. Aftercare instructions can vary depending on the type of treatment you’ve had, but they generally focus on managing the healing process, preventing infections, and optimizing the effects of the procedure.
Here are some common reasons why aftercare is essential:
Promotes Healing: Proper aftercare helps your skin or treated area heal faster and more effectively, reducing the chances of scarring, irritation, or infection.
Reduces Complications: Following aftercare helps to minimize the risk of side effects such as bruising, swelling, or infection, which can be caused by improper care or exposure to certain activities or environments (like excessive sun exposure).
Maximizes Results: Procedures require specific aftercare to achieve the best results. For example, avoiding certain activities like vigorous exercise or touching the area can help maintain the treatment's effectiveness.
Prevents Unnecessary Discomfort: Aftercare can help minimize discomfort such as swelling, redness, or tenderness, ensuring you feel more comfortable as you heal.
On confirmation of an appointment booking Kate will email you post care instructions. if you have questions please contact Kate via the contact page.
