Winter Skincare Tips from Glow Aesthetics by Kate
Hey Glow Family,
Winter is here! (Or at least it sure feels like it on most days, right?) With the cold, dry air comes a whole new set of skincare challenges, and I wanted to share my favorite Winter Skincare Do’s and Don’ts to help you keep your skin hydrated, radiant, and protected all season long. Ready? Let’s dive in!
Winter Skincare Do’s
1. Keep Your Skin Hydrated
Dry winter air = tight, thirsty skin. I recommend using a rich moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and ceramides to lock in moisture. And don’t forget—hydrating from the inside counts too! Keep that water bottle handy.
2. Switch to a Cream Cleanser
Foaming cleansers can strip your skin’s natural oils in winter. Try a creamy, nourishing cleanser instead—it’s gentler and helps maintain your skin’s moisture barrier.
3. Layer Up (Your Skincare!)
Think: serum → moisturizer → SPF (yes, even in winter!). Layering gives your skin all-day protection against dryness and environmental stressors.
4. Add Rejuran to Your Routine
One of my favorite winter glow treatments! Rejuran deeply hydrates and repairs, giving your skin strength, smoothness, and that luminous glow we all love.
5. Use SPF Daily
Winter UV rays still cause damage! Apply SPF 30 or higher every morning—no excuses.
Winter Skincare Don’ts
1. Don’t Skip Exfoliation
Dead skin = dull skin. Use a gentle AHA or BHA exfoliant 1–2 times a week to smooth and brighten your complexion.
2. Don’t Use Hot Water on Your Face
Hot water feels great in winter but strips your skin. Stick to lukewarm water when cleansing.
3. Don’t Forget Your Body
Your whole body needs hydration too! Drink water, eat hydrating foods (hello soups & citrus), and moisturize from head to toe.
4. Don’t Overdo Retinol
Retinol can be a bit harsh during winter. Cut back if needed and always follow with a good moisturizer to avoid dryness or irritation.
5. Don’t Forget Your Hands & Lips
They take a beating in the cold! Keep a nourishing hand cream and lip balm close to prevent dryness and cracking.
Bonus Tip: Treat Yourself!
Winter is the perfect time to indulge in extra self-care. Whether it’s a hydrating facial, skin needling session, or just a relaxing moment with your favorite mask—your skin (and soul) will thank you.

That’s the reality of balancing busy mom life and running a business. My calendar often looks like it was planned by a circus ringmaster!

For all of you juggling work, kids, and life, here’s what’s helping me stay radiant without losing my mind:
Keep It Simple
A 3-step routine can be just as powerful as 10 steps. Cleanse, hydrate, and don’t skip the SPF—done and dusted.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Water is your skin’s best friend! I keep a bottle with me everywhere—it keeps my skin looking fresh, even on the busiest days.
Throw on a Hydrating Mask
Got 10 minutes? Pop on a sheet mask or overnight mask while folding laundry, replying to emails, or sipping tea—multitasking skincare!
Balance Is Key
It’s okay if things aren’t perfect. Life’s busy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t carve out a moment for yourself. Whether it’s a quick skincare fix or just enjoying a cup of tea in the chaos, do what you can, when you can.
